Stained glass workshop FAQs

Stained glass workshop FAQs
  • We’ve designed a one-day course of 6 Hours (10am - 4pm) that will teach you the skills to begin a new hobby. For those with a keen interest in expanding on the basics, we can provide further single days that explore aspects such as painting on glass and glass fusing.
  • All materials and tools required to create your first stained glasswork will be provided. You’ll be working under the expert guidance of Keith Nelson who has over 40 years’ experience working with glass.
  • Please wear old clothes and sturdy shoes (no open toes, please!)
  • The studio has no catering facilities, so please bring a packed lunch and drinks enough to sustain you through the session - make sure you wash the lead off your hands thoroughly before you eat!
  • All courses are taught at the studio we work in. This can be found at 12 Wroxham Road, Coltishall, Norwich, Norfolk, NR12 7EA. We are situated close to the Norfolk Broads, so why not include a course as part of your holiday in the region?
  • Please note: The studio uses the local public toilet, which is located 2 minutes walk away.
  • We will do our best to accommodate everyone, but please get in touch to discuss if you have any physical limitations, as some parts of the studio have restricted access and we wouldn’t want anyone to be disappointed.

Excellent service, I emailed a query Sunday night as the glass had come loose in our front door. Keith came to look the next day, gave us a price then fixed it on the Wednesday! Great service at a great price, thank you.

I had such an amazing time at the one day course! Keith is a fantastic tutor and guided me through every step. I thought up a design and emailed it to Keith in advance to ensure it was achievable. There were only a few alterations which Keith helped me with on the day. I was amazed that by the end of the session I had a completed piece that I could take home with me. The whole experience was magical and I will definitely be returning in the future for another class. Thank you Keith :)

I had an amazing time and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Although very arty I had never tackled stained glass before. Keith was very patient and was there when needed, but once shown what to do at each stage of the process he let me get on with it, which is the way I like to work. My daughter was so impressed with piece I made for my grandson she says she will make it into a light box for his bedroom. I would recommend anybody to have a go and whose not afraid to get a bit dirty, but make sure you think of a design before hand and make fairly simple, for those haven't done it before, as it saves time . Thanks Keith, I may well come back again someday. Jill Hewett
